Abstract

The induction of the flower buds of Coffea arabica L. occurs shortly before the buds becomes visible between the stem and the nod. In Brazil this induction usually takes place from January until the end of July.
Coffea arabica is a quantitative short-time plant. The phases after the induction such as differentiation and growth of the flower buds are influenced by environmental factors such as temperature and water Stress.
