The new laboratory and lecture room complex of the University of Kassel in Witzenhausen is approaching completion

Abstract

Mit dem Richtfest eines neuen Hörsaal- und Laborkomplexes, nähert sich der Standort Witzenhausen der Gesamthochschule Kassel-Universität dem gesteckten Ausbauziel von 620 Studienplätzen. Der Neubaukomplex wird neben einem großen Hörsaal und
Seminarräumen, Laboratorien und Büroräume für insgesamt 9-10 Fachgebiete beinhalten. Damit wird ein unzumutbares Defizit in der sachlichen Ausstattung der beiden am Standort Witzenhausen ansässigen Fachbereiche der GhK abgebaut, jedoch nicht restlos beseitigt. Es kann jedoch davon ausgegangen werden, daß sich mit dem Neubau die Lehr- und Forschungsbedingungen wesentlich verbessern.

A brief description of the new laboratory and lecture room complex of the University of Kassel at it's Campus in Witzenhausen is given. The construction is going into ist's final Stage, completion of the construction is expected beginning of the winter semester 1992/93. The new buildings are expected to improve the training and research conditions in the fields of agriculture, environmental protection and rural development to a great extent
