La importancia de las malezas en una agricultura sostenible del trópico

Abstract

The intensive agriculture considers the weeds as dangerous in agroecosystems, but a great number of tropical small-holders estimate weeds for their value and bene?t in the agricultural systems. The present paper gives some infonnation about the necessary of integrated, multidisciplinary action of science and practice. Additionally mention is given about the utility of weeds as biocide, medical plant, genetic resources and food and feed.
